Det afgør medlemmerne af Radikale Venstre med adresse i hovedstadsregionen på et digitalt opstillingsmøde i morgen søndag den 17. januar.
Mødet vil finde sted på den digitale mødeplatform Zoom via dette link, som alle medlemmer kan tilgå. Mødet begynder klokken 14.00 og varer cirka to timer.

“Det kan godt blive et spændende møde,” siger Karoline Geneser, der er næstformand i Region Hovedstadens Radikale Venstre.
Dagsordenen til mødet kan man finde på regionsforeningens hjemmeside.
Proces med at finde kandidater
Karoline Geneser forklarer, at regionsforeningens valgudvalg de sidste par måneder har ført individuelle samtaler med de kandidater, man vidste ville stille op.
“Nogle er gengangere fra sidste valg, nogle har vi spurgt, og andre har selv kontaktet os,” siger Karoline Geneser.
Dette er selvfølgelig ikke et “must” for at kunne stille op, forklarer næstformanden.
“Hvis man har været medlem i mindst seks måneder og kan skaffe de nødvendige ti stillere, kan alle stille op på dagen,” siger hun.
To anonyme, digitale valghandlinger
Regionsforeningen har planlagt en anonym afstemningsproces på Zoom og mail.
Medlemmerne stemmer ved at skrive deres point til deres foretrukne kandidater på den officielle stemmeseddel, som deles i Zoom-chatten.
Dernæst skal man sende stemmesedlen via mail til mødets dirigenter, der sender stemmesedlerne videre til stemmetællerne, så afstemningen holdes anonym.
Der gennemføres to afstemninger. En om spidskandidaturet og en om de øvrige ni øverste pladser på listen.
I skrivende stund er der kun én, der kandiderer som spidskandidat, nemlig Karin Friis Bach, der også var spidskandidat i 2017.
Hvis flere på dagen stiller op som spidskandidat, bliver der kampvalg. Her kræves et absolut flertal, altså mindst én stemme over halvdelen af alle stemmer, for at vinde.
I kommunerne er nummer ét på kandidatlisten i teorien også borgmesterkandidat. I regionen er den øverste politiske post regionsformanden. En post Sophie Hæstorp Andersen (S) i dag sidder på.
Spidskandidaten i princippet kandidat til regionsformand
Spidskandidaten skal derfor lede den radikale, regionale valgkampagne og være ansigtet udadtil i valgdebatter.
“Spidskandidaten skal i samarbejde med de ni øverste kandidater formulere partiets valgoplæg. Det er også spidskandidaten, der forestår forhandlinger med de øvrige partier om indgåelse af valgforbund og andre aftaler, der vedrører konstitueringen efter valget,” siger Karoline Geneser.
Spidskandidaten får også flest penge til at føre valgkamp.
“Der er en prioritering i vores valgøkonomi, således at der afsættes en større pulje til spidskandidaten, som dermed kan få en øget eksponering.”
Digital opstilling nu frem for fysisk møde senere
Regionsforeningen har besluttet at gennemføre opstillingsprocessen her i januar i stedet for på et fysisk møde senere på året.
Ønsket er at give kandidaterne mest mulig tid til at føre kampagne, siger Karoline Geneser. Derudover har hensynet til coronasmitte spillet ind på beslutningen.
“Det er en afvejning mellem at holde mødet fysisk og give kandidaterne mulighed for at profilere sig som kandidater. Og i den afvejning har det sidste vægtet tungest,” siger hun.
Radikal Dialog dækker opstillingsmødet i morgen og sender resultatet af afstemningen ud efter mødet.
