Kære hr. redaktør,
Når redaktøren (om landsformandskabet, red.) skriver, at “Begge poster er primært organisatoriske og vælges af de delegerede på landsmødet”, så får han denne – om ikke krigserklæring – så en skideballe fra en gammel partidreng, der tilmed har været landsformand.
Stop bidragene til en nedvurdering af landsforbundet som den medlemsforening det er.
Der er ikke hjemmel til at tale landsformanden ned som alene en A4-forvalter, der skal tage sig af personstridighederne i Nørre Bøvelse.
Landsformanden er den eneste fuldgyldige repræsentant for medlemmerne af det radikale venstres landsforbund og dermed den radikale sag. Basta!
Folketingsmedlemmerne er repræsentanter for vælgerne. Smukt nok, men landsformanden er en politisk person med pligt og ret til at repræsentere langsigtede radikale samfundsmål. Basta. Folketingsgruppen arbejder med politiske landkort. Landsformanden skal bruge kompas!
Derfor skal landsformanden ikke gøres til organisatorisk mappedyr. Han har selvfølgelig i kraft af sit valggrundlag – landsmødet – også en pligt til at tage sig af den medlemsbårne del af den radikale butik, men hans pligter rækker videre. Han skal turde formulere de radikale samfundsidealer og hele tiden være lydhør overfor rørelser i medlemsskaren. Folketingsgruppen kan – når den er dygtig – vurdere bevægelserne i vælgerhavet. Landsformanden skal sikre, at de kilder, hvoraf den radikale flod dannes, holdes åbne og så rene som virkeligheden nu tillader det.
Patetisk sagt? Ja, men det er også en alvorlig sag at være formand for et medlemsbåret parti, for så er man ikke bare A4-forvalter, men boss for en folkelig organisation af samfundsbevidste vælgere, der både tager folkestyret alvorligt og går så langt som til at melde sig ind i et parti, der vil noget med samfundet. Og det er jo en sag, der rækker langt udover det organisatoriske.
Ved at føre den slags tale, som redaktøren nu gør, bidrager han til, at folketingsgruppen betragter sig som de sande bærere af den radikale fakkel. Det er de ikke, og gruppens adfærd i sidste kvartal af 2020 er også et eksempel på, at der er meget lidt og meget blafrende og sodet blus på den fakkel. Den når næppe frem til den politiske olympiade.
Og derfor er det godt, at der udover landet er arbejdsduelige og stærke repræsentanter for vores parti i byråd og regionsforsamlinger. Tilmed to dygtige borgmestre! Og et aktivt tillidsmandskorps, der på landsmødet vælger deres POLITISKE FORMAND!
